ALPENA — Wednesday, Oct. 23 was the date chosen by Marlene Montie to host the monthly meeting of the Aid by the Dozen.

Kim Mischley was welcomed as a guest.

Thank-you notes were read from previous donation receivers. The monthly donation went to the Friendship Room.

Halloween was a perfect time for secret pals to receive surprises — Nancy Ballinger, Carole Kelly, Sherry Allen, Tammy Daleski, Geri Skiba, Chris Dubey, Lori Zeller, Mariette Jore, Kaye Ross, and Marlene Montie.

Nancy won the hostess gift and Mariette won the cake raffle. After dinner, Marlene served a delicious dessert and passed out Halloween treats.

The next meeting will be at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at The 19th Hole.
