ALPENA — The staff of Wolverine State Credit Union worked hard to put together a fun kickoff to summer, the third annual Summer of Color 5K, which took place in June. The event is a colorful 5K, with the route decorated in chalk and color stations, blasting participants with color as they race to the finish line. This year, the event raised nearly $5,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Alpena. This puts the cumulative total this event has raised for the Boys and Girls Club of Alpena to $15,000, over three years.

Wolverine State Credit Union supports the club because of the significant impact the club has to the youth in our community. It is a great place for our kids to learn, grow and feel supported. The success of this event was possible because of the business sponsorships that generously give back to the community and all the participants that joined WSCU in June. The WSCU team hopes to continue their work for years to come.
