Salvation Army collecting undergarments
ALPENA — The Salvation Army is collecting new socks, underwear, and undershirts for youth of all ages and sizes. Older youth may need adult sizes.
Drop off donations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Salvation Army office, 722 N. 2nd Ave., Alpena. There is a contactless drop off box outside the office door for after hours. Items will be collected through Monday, Aug. 19 for use on distribution days. Distribution days will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21 for anyone who needs these items.

Last year, The Salvation Army served over 204 youth, with 972 items distributed to families. More information will also be posted on The Salvation Army of Alpena Facebook page.
Monetary donations are accepted via mail or in person at The Salvation Army Corps Community Center at 722 N. 2nd Ave Alpena, MI 49707, online at salmich.org/alpena, or by calling Major Prezza Morrison at 989-358-2769, ext. 6513.
