Library offering kids’ programs

ALPENA — Children’s programs are happening daily at Alpena County Library, with a few new ones coming up.

Kids ages 5 to 12 are invited to enter the new Kid Librarian Draw. Ever dream of being a Kid Librarian? Now’s your chance! Sign up today to enter the exciting Kid Librarian Draw. Every two weeks, beginning in August, the library will randomly select one lucky participant to help create a fabulous book display in our children’s section!

Here’s how it works:

Fill out the sign-up form to enter the draw.

If your name is drawn, you’ll team up with ACL librarians to design a themed display featuring your favorite fiction or nonfiction books.

Get creative and make it awesome with a little help from the librarians!

Plus, the library will showcase your amazing display and a photo of you (with your guardian’s permission) on its social media!

For another fun opportunity, check out Storytime with the Alpena 45ers. This new program will be held from 6 to 6:30 p.m. on every third Thursday of the month, beginning Aug. 15.

Score a reading goal with the Alpena County Library and the Alpena 45ers! Each third Thursday of the month, Coach Myles and his team will be hosting a storytime and craft. Hockey and library fans ages 0-9 are welcome with a parent or caregiver!

Visit the library’s website for more information at alpenalibrary.org.
