ALPENA — Sam Rumbles State Farm Insurance has moved the date of its Downtown Drive-In and Dine Car Show to Saturday, Aug. 24 because the weather forecast calls for rain this weekend.

The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on River Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, and the Harborside Cycle parking lot in downtown Alpena. Show vehicles enter River Street from 2nd Avenue.

Downtown Drive-In and Dine is free and open to the public. All unique or classic show vehicles are welcome.

There will be a Voters’ Choice Award, with ballots collected at 7:45 p.m., and the winner announced at 8 p.m.

Food trucks and live music will also be featured, so bring the whole family downtown for a fun evening.
