LINCOLN — The Alcona County Fair started Tuesday and continues today, which is $10 per carload day.

Madd Hatters Circus Sideshow will take place throughout the day today, Friday, and Saturday. Each day, the barns will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the Campbell and Home Arts Building will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Today, a Princess Tea Party will be held at 1 p.m. in the pavilion. The carnival opens at 2 p.m. Just a Girl With a Brush Face Painting will be available from 4 p.m. to dark. A kids’ bike and fishing pole giveaway will be held at 5 p.m. at the Home Arts Building, and you must be present to win. A 4-H Awards Ceremony will be held at 5:15 p.m. at Joslin Arena. East Coast Fitness and Drumming with Tawas and Oscoda Cardio Drumming and Fitness will take place at 5:45 p.m. Alcona Junior Livestock Club Market Sale will be held at 6 p.m. in Joslin Arena. The Pool Boys Band will play at 7 p.m. on the main stage.

The Alcona County Fair continues on Friday, with Just a Girl With a Brush Face Painting from noon to dark. A youth horse show will take place at 1 p.m. in the horse arena. The carnival opens at 2 p.m., the FFA Barnyard Olympics are at 2:30 p.m., kids’ giveaways will be at 5 p.m., a youth speed show at 6 p.m., Stoker Band at 7 p.m., and Lawn Mower Drags at 8 p.m.

The Alcona County Fair continues on Saturday, with Just a Girl With a Brush face painting all day. Motocross racing starts at 11 a.m. The youth coloring contest deadline is noon, and the winners will be announced at 4 p.m. The carnival opens at noon, a flapjack-eating contest for all ages starts at 1 p.m., as well as an open horse show at 1 p.m., a pinewood derby starts at 2 p.m., wee showmanship for small tots is at 3:30 p.m. The silent auction ends at 4 p.m., when winners will be announced. A kids’ bike and fishing pole giveaway is at 5 p.m., and you must be present to win. The cutest baby contest winner will be announced at 5:30 p.m. An open horse speed show is at 6 p.m., Grounded Band plays onstage at 7 p.m., and the Bump and Run starts at 7 p.m., by TNT Demolition Derby.
