Attention, CCHS Class of 1971

ALPENA — The Catholic Central High School Class of 1971 will be having a class get-together (call it a reunion if you like) at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 at the 19th Hole in Alpena.

This gathering will be very informal — just our annual get together to catch up with classmates. Hopefully, all classmates can make it. It would be nice to have an approximate head count to let the staff at the 19th Hole know how many may be coming so please post on Facebook if you will be attending, or if you are not able to make it.

What a Mess VBS next week

ALPENA — Living Hope Church in Alpena will host What A Mess Vacation Bible School for kindergarten through fifth grade from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 5 through 9.

Join Living Hope to learn about God’s love for us in the middle of our mess! There will be messy crafts, games, snacks, drama, music, and more!

Bridge results announced

ALPENA — Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club results have been announced for this week.

Beverley Rousseau and Marcy Sherman placed first, followed by Eve Phillips and Mike Mandrick in second, and Gordon Bennett and Marge French in third place.

The group meets at 12:30 p.m. on Mondays.
