Another of Viking’s ships, the Viking Octantis, is scheduled to stop in Alpena on Monday, and the Viking Polaris is set to be back in Thunder Bay on Wednesday. Viking Cruises had 26 stops in Alpena scheduled this season. They have completed 10 of those visits, so far. Viking partners with Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary staff to coordinate their visits, which include the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center and many stops around Alpena.
