Dorothea Sandra

ALPENA — Thunder Bay Arts Council is pleased to announce Dorothea Sandra as the May and June Featured Artist at the TBA Gallery.

A reception will be held in her honor from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 17 at the gallery, 127 W. Chisholm St., Alpena. The reception is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.

Sandra’s work, along with that of 20 additional local artists, will be on display at the TBA Gallery.

Sandra is an international and national commissioned artist whose art has appeared in House & Garden, The World of Interiors, and the Tatler, London magazines.

Her work is known for its powerful abstract movements, and for its lovely evidence-based floral and landscape designs.

She is also the author of “100 Days of Happy Happy Art, Evidence-Based Design.” She loves nature and enjoys living in the Great Lakes area.

Sandra has been featured in newspapers, television, radio, magazines, and has been interviewed by world-known evidence-based design scientific research teams.

She recently appeared in the Art Review and Curate sections of the aforementioned magazines.
