Easter egg hunts Saturday

ALPENA — Two Easter egg hunts are planned for Saturday in Alpena.

Children are welcome to attend these free events to find eggs filled with candy and surprises.

Besser Senior Living Community will host an Easter egg hunt from 2 to 4 p.m. at 325 Johnson St., Alpena. The community is invited to enjoy the fun, which will include snacks and refreshments.

Also on Saturday, TriPoint Church of God will host their annual Easter egg hunt starting at 2 p.m. at 500 S. Brooke St., Alpena.

This free event is open to children birth to age 12. Egg hunt areas will be set up by age group. Each child can take home whatever goodies they find in their eggs and an item they select from the prize table. A limited number of eggs in each age group will contain a ticket to claim a larger prize.

Each child should bring a shopping bag or a basket to carry their eggs. Organizers ask that all plastic eggs be opened on site and the empty eggs be returned to the collection bins.
