GriefShare starts on Monday at Immanuel

ALPENA -- A 13-week GriefShare program starts at 5 p.m. on Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alpena.

This program will be led by facilitator Brent Finzel.

Bridge results noted

ALPENA -- Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club winners have been announced for this week.

Linda Clegg and Audrey Stevens came in first place, followed by Beverley Rousseau and Marcy Sherman in second, and Marge French and Mike Mandrick in third.

The group meets at 12:30 p.m. every Monday.

ACC scholarship deadline extended

ALPENA -- The Alpena Community College Foundation has extended the deadline to apply for scholarships because of delays in Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) processing at the government level.

Students who plan to attend ACC for the 2024-25 academic year should apply for scholarship assistance after completing an application for admission to ACC.

The ACC Foundation offers more than 235 scholarships.

The ACC Foundation has been providing students with scholarship support since 1982. More than $4 million has been awarded in scholarships over the last 41 years.
