Free Lunch and Learn March 4 explores pregnancy program

ALPENA ­– For those interested in learning more about the CenteringPregnancy program, MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena will host a free Lunch and Learn at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 4 in the Medical Center Auditorium. CenteringPregnancy is a unique way to deliver prenatal care through the use of group sessions. The Alpena CenteringPregnancy program is made possible through a generous grant from Michigan Health Endowment Fund. The goal is to empower patients to get involved with their own prenatal care, while also providing them with knowledge and skills to make healthy decisions throughout their pregnancy.

During the program, attendees will learn more about the CenteringPregnancy program, how pregnant patients are enrolled and how sessions are structured from a patient’s perspective. A tour of the Medical Center’s newly renovated Maternity Center also will be given.

Chamber GMA March 8

ALPENA — The Alpena Area Chamber of Commerce will host Good Morning Alpena breakfast on Friday, March 8. Attendees will learn what the Alpena High School Career and Technical Education program is and what is has to offer. We will also hear from students currently participating in the program.

Breakfast begins at 7 a.m., and the program starts at 7:30 a.m. at AHS, 3303 S. 3rd Ave.
