Free Lunch and Learn March 4 explores pregnancy program

ALPENA – For those interested in learning more about the CenteringPregnancy program, MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena will host a free Lunch and Learn at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 4 in the Medical Center Auditorium. CenteringPregnancy is a unique way to deliver prenatal care through the use of group sessions. The Alpena CenteringPregnancy program is made possible through a generous grant from Michigan Health Endowment Fund. The goal is to empower patients to get involved with their own prenatal care, while also providing them with knowledge and skills to make healthy decisions throughout their pregnancy.

During the program, attendees will learn more about the CenteringPregnancy program, how pregnant patients are enrolled and how sessions are structured from a patient’s perspective. A tour of the Medical Center’s newly renovated Maternity Center also will be given.

Registration for the Lunch and Learn is required. To register or for more information, visit mymichigan.org/centering or call MyMichigan Health Line at 989-837-9090.
