Northland’s Eileen Budnick promoted to VP of Finance

ALPENA — Northland Area Federal Credit Union recently announced Eileen Budnick’s promotion to vice president of Finance.

In this position, Budnick is responsible for development and implementation of the credit union’s financial strategic plan by organizing, directing, and controlling the financial activities of the organization. She brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to her role. Prior to joining the Northland team in September 2021, Budnick spent her career in banking in various roles such as staff accountant, assistant controller, and controller. She also held several senior positions as VP-Director of Financial Reporting and Accounting and VP-Director of SOX/FDICIA.

Budnick holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Lake Superior State University and recently earned her certification as an Accredited ACH Professional.

She is a dedicated volunteer, spending her time volunteering at many Northland events. She also is the current vice president, and acted as past president, of the local Zonta Club, an organization dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of women. She also served as the past president of the Alpena Area Chamber of Commerce and treasurer of the First Federal of Northern Michigan Legacy Foundation.

Northland has 17 branches and serves over 44,000 members in 27 Northern Michigan counties, with nearly $700 million in assets. Northland is Federally Insured by the NCUA and is an Equal Housing Lender.
