ALPENA -- In January, Alpena Public Schools recognizes the vital contributions of the APS School Board.
Members serve in a volunteer capacity and take on the difficult job of representing the community as well as providing leadership and oversight for a vital community asset.
At the January APS School Board meeting which will take place 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22 at Besser Elementary School, APS will offer our gratitude for service by school board members past and present.
APS offers special appreciation to current board members Anna Meinhardt, Stacey Parr, Dr. Eric Lawson, Gordon Snow, AJ MacArthur, Sarah Fritz and Eric Hansen.
APS would also like to offer a salute to all past school board members who made the important choice to volunteer in service of their community.
