‘WinterView’ reception Thursday at Art in the Loft

ALPENA — Art in the Loft will hold a “WinterView” artists’ reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, featuring appetizers, music, and a cash bar, surrounded by beautiful artwork for show and sale, and a chance to meet with artists. This reception is open to the public.

Rogers City Christmas Parade Friday

ROGERS CITY — The Rogers City Christmas Parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday starting from Westminster Presbyterian Church and heading down Third Street to end at the Senior/Community Center.

Special Needs Christmas Dance Saturday at APlex

ALPENA — The first Special Needs Christmas Dance will be held on Saturday at the APlex. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. Concessions will be available. If you are interested in volunteering, call Elaine at 989-354-6164.

Bridge results announced

ALPENA — Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club winners for this week have been announced, with Deanna Brege and Gayle Nowak placing first, followed by Beverley Rousseau and Marcy Sherman in second, and Connie and Dale Middleditch in third.

Motown Christmas Sunday afternoon at APlex

MARSP Christmas gathering Dec. 14

ALPENA — Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will hold their Christmas gathering at noon on Dec. 14 at the First United Methodist Church on Ripley. Mike Centala and Bill Kelley will provide music for us. Toys or a monetary donation can be made to Toys for Kids. Please do not wrap your items. A catered meal will be provided at a cost of $14.
