ALPENA — The Exchange Club of Alpena donated new flags to Thunder Bay Junior High and Ella White Elementary this week.
Ray Reynolds, who represented Exchange Club at both events, said, “Americanism is a key component for the National Exchange Club. We really enjoy working with the schools to support this goal. ”
The new flags will fly proudly over both buildings greeting students, staff, families and community members.
“Our leadership team really appreciates the donation, students learned how to raise, lower and display flags during a visit from Master Sergeant Jared Bicker from the Alpena CRTC this fall,” said Ella White Dean of Students Nikki Oswald.
CRTC stands for Combat Readiness Training Center.
