Buddy Jewell Christmas Concert Sunday at AHS

ALPENA — The Northeast Michigan Crime Stoppers present the Buddy Jewell Christmas Concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Alpena High School Auditorium, 3303 S. 3rd Ave., Alpena.

Buddy Jewell was the first winner of USA Network’s “Nashville Star” talent contest. In 2003, his debut single “Help Pour Out the Rain” was number three on the country charts, #29 on the pop charts, and also made the Christian music charts. Speaking of Christian music, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” was one of the first songs that Buddy learned to play. Other Buddy Jewell hits include “Sweet Southern Comfort,” “One Step at a Time,” and “If She Were Any Other Woman.”
