ALPENA -- The Rev. Bruce A. Michaud celebrates the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the Priesthood today, Sept. 20, 2023.
Michaud, a native of Alpena, was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Episcopal Church. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State in 1969 and his Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Theological Seminary in 1972. Grace Episcopal Church, Port Huron, then called him to be their Curate and he was ordained a Deacon at Trinity that June. His ordination to the Priesthood occurred at Grace Church.
Michaud served as Rector of four parishes over the years, including one in Louisville, Kentucky. He returned from there to become Trinity's Rector from 2002 until his retirement on Jan. 1, 2015.
