HUBBARD LAKE -- More than 70 members of the Solomon and Eliza Badder family met on July 29 at The Hubbard Lake Lions Park to celebrate and remember those who have passed.
At the reunion, there was a memory table with framed pictures of Eliza and Solomon and their children. In front of each of their pictures was a candle that family members lit for each of them.
The weather was perfect and the food was plentiful. Hamburgers and pulled pork were served, along with several dishes to pass.
The Ritthaler family hosted it this year, which was appreciated by all in attendance.
The oldest in attendance this year was Darwin Liske, and the youngest was Valentino Popovski at 6 months. Valentino is the son of Lou and Carli Popovski, and is Darla (Crevier) Paoletti's first grandchild, and Dixie Crevier's 15th great-grandchild.
The one who came the farthest was Sherri Liske, who traveled from Colorado.
Dixie had the most family members in attendance at 20.
Lori Oliver won the door prize and Judy Cousineau won the 50/50 drawing. Congratulations to all.
The family appreciates all who attended and those that weren't there, you were missed.
Check out the Badder Reunion page on Facebook to see some of the pictures that are posted.
See you next year, same time, same place.
