ALPENA ­– Alpena County Library will hold its annual used book sale, hosted by the Friends of the Alpena County Library, Aug. 16 through 19 in the upstairs Stillion Conference Room.

The Members-Only Sale will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16. To become a member of the Friends of the Alpena County Library, stop into the library for details at 211 N. 1st Ave., or come to the sale and sign up there.

On Thursday, Aug. 17, the book sale will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Friday, Aug. 18, the sale will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Saturday, Aug. 19, the sale will be from 9 a.m. to noon.

This is the Friends’ biggest fundraiser of the year.

The sale includes books, games, DVDs, audiobooks, and more. Payment will be accepted by cash or check only.
