Amanda Cumper becomes doctor of veterinary medicine

LANSING — Amanda Cumper graduated from Michigan State University in May 2023. She received her degree as a doctor of veterinary medicine, pursuing a lifelong dream she has had since she was 5 years old.

Amanda will practice at Switzer Veterinary Clinic. She is married to Josh Cumper and resides in Hillman.

Amanda’s parents are Darwin and Cori McConnell of Alpena. Her grandmother is Jeannine McConnell of Alpena and in-laws are Darryl and Lois Cumper of Atlanta.
