‘Taste of India’ event Sunday in Rogers City
ROGERS CITY — Experience Indian culture through all your senses at 3 p.m. on Sunday for “Taste of India: Sights, Flavors, Sounds,” with Anshu Varma at the newly reopened Purple Martin Lakeside Inn in Rogers City. Taste authentic cuisine, enjoy music, see a slideshow of many of the historic and cultural places in India, and learn about ancient traditions. Varma received Michigan State University’s Michigan Traditional Arts Program/Michigan Heritage Award in 2017 and is listed as a Michigan Arts and Humanities Touring artist. Tickets are $10 per person, available at the Presque Isle District Library in Rogers City at 989-734-2477. Pre-registration is required.

ALPENA — Weekly results have been noted for Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club.
Here are the results for the week of May 22: Gordon Bennett and Marge French placed first, followed by Jackie Kennedy and Loretta Reynolds in second, and Linda Clegg and Audrey Stevens in third.

The Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club meets at 12:30 p.m. on Mondays.
