Garden day and geranium sale Saturday at Farmers Market

ALPENA ­-- The Alpena Farmers Market and MSU Extension are partnering up for a Garden Day and Geranium Fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at Mich-e-ke-wis Park in Alpena.

The Friends of the Alpena Farmers Market will be selling geranium hanging baskets and plants just in time for Mother's Day.

In addition, there will be gardening resources, kids' gardening activities, and MSU Extension Master Gardeners will be answering gardening questions.

Farmers market vendors will be on site with produce, baked goods, crafts, and plant starts for your garden. The Alpena Montmorency Conservation District will be at the market selling a variety of shrubs, fruit and deciduous trees.
