ALPENA — Alpena County Library will host its ACL Book Club at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 15 to discuss “Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions.”

Readers 18 and up are invited to join the discussion on “Big Fish” by Daniel Wallace. “Big Fish” tells the tale of the extraordinary life of Edward Bloom, told from father to son, some fact, some fiction. The result is a powerful and transformative act of storytelling ­– a way to make amends with the bridge between life and death.

Copies of the book are available for check out and digital copies are available through Libby. Participants can join the discussion virtually or in person.

A showing of Tim Burton’s film adaptation of the novel will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 22 in the Stillion conference room.
