MyMichigan Health offering Lunch and Learn sessions

ALPENA — The Community Outreach Committee of MyMichigan Health Foundation’s Development Council has created the Lunch and Learn series.

The one-hour sessions start at noon every other Tuesday in the auditorium of the hospital. Pre-registration is required, as space is limited. The program fee is for $10 each session, which includes lunch.

This Tuesday, learn about Urgent Care. What are the hours, services provided, and who are the professionals at MyMichigan Health Urgent Care? On Tuesday, Oct. 25, learn about Inpatient Rehabilitation, including stroke, debility, fractures, neurological, rebuilding strength after an illness, injury, or hospital stay. The benefits, qualifications, and care in the MyMichigan Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit will be discussed by Director Ann Cosbitt, R.N., M.S.N., and Manager Jackie Hincka, R.N., B.S.N.

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, hear about Orthopedic Surgery from Eric Cornish, M.D., as he explains the steps and processes of physical therapy, cortisone injections, joint replacements, and pre- and post-op rehabilitation to get you back to an active lifestyle. Find out what to expect and when to seek orthopedic care for hip and knee pain.

For more information, or to register for any of the aforementioned sessions, call 989-356-7738 or email ann.diamond@mymichigan.org.
