Deputy Michelle Reid (above) recently received handmade Pet Care Booklets, designed and created by Jazzmyne Brege, Alexis DeKett, and Madelyn Mill as part of their Girl Scouts Silver Award. The booklets were made to help children realize what pets require for daily care. The Girl Scouts thought the booklets would be useful for families when pets are adopted from Alpena County Animal Control. The Scouts are members of Troop 1033 of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alpena, with leaders Trudy Mousseau and Bronwyn Woolman.
