Courtesy Photo Hillman High School National Honor Society members Julia Taratuta and Nicole Barbeau along with their NHS advisor, Jennifer Kortman, presented a donation of $150 to Shelly Gibbs, fundraising coordinator at Friends Together. As a part of a community service project, these outstanding students hosted shoot outs during the halftime of home varsity boys basketball games to raise funds to help support Friends Together, a cancer support center located in Alpena. Friends Together is a nonprofit 501c3 cancer support center servicing Alpena, Montmorency, Alcona, Presque Isle, Oscoda and Iosco counties.
