ALPENA — Each holiday season the Alpena County Democratic Party participates in December giving projects. ACDP asks its members and the community to help provide for those in need.

This year’s organizations include: Light of Hope Clubhouse; Sunrise Centre Residential Rehabilitation Program; and The Friendship Room. This week’s highlighted organization is The Friendship Room. The St. Bernard’s Friendship Room provides meals for those with food insecurity. The Friendship Room provides services and nonperishable food to those in need in our community. Your support and donations make a difference in our community.

Look for the ACDP near the entrance to the Duck Park at the corner of Long Rapids Road and U.S.-23 from 10 a.m. to noon today and on Saturday Dec. 11 and 18.
