ALPENA -- A child wellness event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Sunset School, 1421 Hobbs Drive.
The event is for returning and current preschoolers ages 3 to 5 enrolling in NEMCSA's Head Start and Great Start Readiness Program preschools.
Sparky the Dog will be in attendance, and there will be giveaways and personal blankets handed out, as well as hearing and vision screenings and physicals needed for preschool.
