Jakey and Prevo to wed June 26

Aaron Jakey and Sara Prevo

Aaron Jakey and Sara Prevo are about to enter into a long-term commitment built upon mutual love. From humble beginnings here in the 21st Century, boy meets girl on the internet, and it did not take long for both to figure out that they were made for each other. The relationship blossomed quickly, almost to the point where others said they were moving too fast, but when cupid’s arrow pierces hearts so perfectly, there is no stopping what comes next.

Sara was stunned when Aaron took a knee with a ring in hand at a roadside overlook, January 30, 2020, in the mountains of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The answer was “yes,” “yes,” a thousand times “yes.” The engagement party was June 11, 2020 in Alpena and now the daughter of Tina Brown and Garry Alexander is ready to accept Aaron’s hand in marriage.

The ceremony will be at the Ritthaler family farm in Alpena County where Sara’s grandmother grew up. The wedding service will be at 3 p.m. on June 26, with the Rev. Jeff Ryan of Calvary Bible Church, Rogers City officiating.

Aaron, son of Peter and Lisa Jakey, grew up in the Posen area and graduated from Posen High School in 2017. He is currently a certified nursing assistant at Medilodge Alpena, while Sara, a 2009 graduate of Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida, has been a wedding planner for the last 18 months with her faithful canine friend, Kody, at her side all the way.

The honeymoon will be spent in a cabin back where it all started in the mountains of eastern Tennessee.
