Girl Scouts, NEMCSA pack food for seniors

The Girl Scouts of St. Paul Lutheran recently went to the Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency (NEMCSA) warehouse in Ossineke and packed food boxes for distribution to senior citizens.

The Girl Scouts who participated range in age from 5 to 17. The Scouts were able to pack 630 boxes for NEMCSA. This volunteer experience has been a favorite one for the members of St. Paul Lutheran Church. They were happy the food was going to grandmas and grandpas!

NEMCSA let the troops take home one box from the packing. At a future meeting, the Scouts are going to develop some recipes to cook and serve from all the supplies in the box.
