Friends of the Alcona County Library will meet at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5 at the Harrisville branch.

Community Walking Club for everyone meets at 9 a.m. on Thursdays, May 6, 13, 20, and 27 at the Harrisville branch.

Celebrate Earth Day with a free tree giveaway on Friday, May 7 at all branches of the Alcona County Library, compliments of the Alcona Conservation District. One per person. While supplies last.

Storytime and Craft for Children is at 10:30 a.m. on Fridays, May 7, 14, 21, and 28 at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library.

Pick up your Teen DIY Kit (ages 12 to18) on Monday, May 10 at the Alcona County Library in Harrisville. May’s kit is Mini Library Card Notebooks. Students may pick up their kits at the main office of Alcona High School. Call 989-724-6796 for more information.

Homeschoolers at the Library is at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12. Children of all ages are invited to stop in and pick up a fun and educational activity at the Alcona County Library in Harrisville

The Alcona Book Club will meet from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18 at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library. The selection for May is “The Stranger in the Woods” by Michael Finkel.

The Alcona County Library Board will meet in person following state health guidelines at 2 p.m. at the Lincoln branch on Wednesday, May 26.

May 31

The Alcona County Library and all of its branches will be closed on Monday, May 31 to observe Memorial Day.
