Plaza Pool family fun run event canceled

Because of the new COVID-19 restrictions, the Alpena County Plaza Pool Free Family Fun Run that had been scheduled for Friday has been canceled.

Spruce Lutheran bazaar still on for Sat.

Spruce Lutheran Church will hold its Christmas bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The church is located at 1246 E. Spruce Road, Spruce, about three miles west of F-41.

Masks are required for entry.

The bazaar will include a quilt raffle for two homemade quilts, a cookie walk, baked goods, jams, home canned goods including beets, sauerkraut, pickles and tomatoes, crafts and handmade items, and gently used Christmas items.

Bridge results told

Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club winners this week were Gordon Bennet and Marge French in first place, Carolyn Belton and Carol Beatty in second place, and Audrey Stevens and Linda Clegg in third place. All bridge players are welcome. Call 989-595-5119 or 989-354-2306.
