The angel pinning is a 45-year tradition that kicks off the sale of the pins in the the hospital gift shop and out in the community. Customers return year after year to obtain the new pin design. All proceeds from angel pin sales are used to support new technology and patient services at the hospital. Nye has been an involved volunteer at the Medical Center since early 2019. She has served in a wide variety of roles including Fundraising, Lobby Greeter, Surgical Lounge, Cancer Center and as a clerk in the volunteers’ gift shop, The Gift Corner.
