Madison Brilley earns honors

ALBION — Madison Brilley is a new member of Albion College’s Lisa and James Wilson Institute for Medicine and the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program.

The Wilson Institute supports and prepares students to be exemplary and altruistic physicians, dentists, veterinarians, and other healthcare professionals. Through an innovative academic curriculum and immersive clinical, research, and community service initiatives, Wilson students become leaders in healthcare.

Designed for students interested in challenges and opportunities beyond those offered by traditional lecture and laboratory courses, the honors program requires members to maintain an above-average GPA and complete an honors thesis prior to graduation.

Brilley is a first-year student at Albion College. Brilley is a resident of Millersburg and is a graduate of Onaway High School.

Matteson named to Troy University Chancellor’s List

TROY, Alabama — Benjamin Matteson of Alpena, has been named to the Chancellor’s List at Troy University for Term 1 of the 2020-2021 academic year.

The Chancellor’s List honors full-time undergraduate students who are registered for 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of 4.0.

Term 1 consists of students at Troy’s campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Alabama, along with teaching sites outside of Alabama and online.

Troy University is a public, historic, international university with 22,500 students and 154,000 alumni.
