Wishing for Christmas Craft Show Nov. 7

The APlex will host its Wishing for Christmas Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Vendors are still welcome to sign up by calling the APlex at 989-354-6164. Vendor set up will be from noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6. On Saturday morning, doors open to vendors only at 7 a.m.

VFW Polish dinner Nov. 6

The VFW Post 2496 is hosting a Polish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, prepared by the Marine Corps League.

Dinner is $10 per adult, with your choice of pierogies or sauerkraut and kielbasa, or a combination plate with a half order of each.

The cost for children 10 and under (half order) is $5.

Dessert will also be served. Meals are dine-in or take-out. Call ahead for take-out at 989-354-8021.

Food pantry Monday in Presque Isle

God Loves You Food Pantry will distribute food starting at 1 p.m. Monday at Grand Lake Chapel in Presque Isle, at 8025 E. Grand Lake Road.

This is a drive-through event. Please stay in your car and items will be placed in your trunk. Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Everyone is welcome. This event is made possible through a partnership with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.

Alcona library adult crafting class

At 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, join in the fun at Craftomania for Adults! Create a marvelous macrame feather wall decoration at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library. This program is brought to you by a grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. Social distancing will be practiced. Sign-up is required and seating is limited.
