Scarecrow Village Haunted Ridge open this and next weekend

Scarecrow Village Haunted Ridge will feature creepy scenes and stories. Here is one snapshot of a scene from the Ridge, opening today.

Visitors walking through the doors of Scarecrow Village Haunted Ridge will take a self-guided tour through the many creepy new sets and scenery of the macabre coupled with audio sounds and stories.

Scarecrow Village Haunted Ridge is now geared for families and is running daytime hours. Even though it is light outside it is very dark inside. It’s like entering a whole different realm!

“We kind of compare it to the Call of the Wild but only on the scary side,” said owner Sandy Reebel. “We have over 15 audio stories that are told accompanied by an appropriate scene. With a 17,000 square-foot building, that allows for us to do a lot of scenes within it.”

The Ridge was headed this way of doing things for 2021 but with the events that have transpired for 2020, they decided to forge ahead with this new endeavor for this year.

So for families looking for a creepy good time this fall, come on out to Scarecrow Village Haunted Ridge, located at 7065 Dietz Road, Alpena.

For more information, call 989-255-0209.

Days open this year are Saturday and Sunday, and Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24 and 25, from 1 to 5:30 p.m. all four days.

“We would love for you to come out and visit with us,” Reebel added.
