Girls Scouts celebrate 19th Amendment in Besser Museum display

Courtesy Photo

Local Area Girl Scouts from many troops contributed to a display at the Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan on the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment which gave women the right to vote. Each scout created a star to symbolize the stars that the women suffragists created for each state that ratified the amendment. The stars will be on display until the end of October. The public is welcome to contribute stars to the display. Limited stars are available as a template at the display table.
