DENVER, Colorado — Sarah K. Whiteside received the Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree with graduate honors for earning a 4.0 GPA (2020) from Regis University. Regis University is located in Denver, Colorado, established in 1877 and follows the Jesuit tradition.

Whiteside graduated from Regis University with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing with graduate honors (2015); a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Lake Superior State University (2010); an Associates Degree from Alpena Community College (2008); and graduated from Alpena High School in 2005.

She has worked as a registered nurse in Michigan and Hawaii. She moved to Mackinaw City, Michigan to work on her doctoral project called “Nurses’ perceptions of caring for Jamaican seasonal workers on Mackinac Island, Michigan.” Her research has been published in the Regis University Library.

Whiteside is the daughter of Robert and Sue Donakowski of Alpena.
