Alcona library programs set

August programs are set at Alcona County Library in Harrisville. Some programs are online and some are in-person.

Today and Aug. 18: Knitting Klub & Crochet meets from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. in the Reading Garden.

Wednesday: At 1:30 p.m., the public is welcome to join the library for Cameron Zvara’s LIVE Online Comedy Magic Show. To access the link, visit the library’s Facebook page at Alcona Library or visit alcona.lib.mi.us.

Thursday and Aug. 13, 20, 27: Community Walking Club for Everyone meets at 9 a.m. in the library parking lot every Thursday. Social distancing will be practiced and face masks will be required.

Wednesday, Aug. 12: The end of summer reading virtual drawing for children and teens will be held at 1:30 p.m. via Facebook Live. Turn in all reading logs before 1 p.m. for a chance to win prizes.

Tuesday, Aug. 18: The Alcona Book Club will meet from noon to 1 p.m. to discuss “The Girl with Seven Names” by Hyeonseo Lee.

Wednesday, Aug. 26: The Alcona County Library Board will meet in person, via Zoom and Facebook Live at 2 p.m. The link will be posted on their website and on Facebook.
