If you have been dancing for years or would like to give line dancing a try, this is the class for you. Wear some comfortable shoes and have a water bottle nearby and tune in for this class.

Tuesday

11 a.m.: “Telemedicine at MidMichigan Health”

What telemedicine programs does MidMichigan offer in Alpena? How does MidMichigan use virtual care during COVID-19? What’s next in virtual care?

Tom Wood, Director of Trauma and Virtual Care, MidMichigan Health, will answer these and other questions. Tom was raised in Sanford, and currently resides in Midland. He earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand Valley State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Northwood University. He is an ER nurse by background and has worked in various Southeast Michigan Health Care Systems in several capacities. He came to MidMichigan Midland in 2011 to build the level 2 trauma center. In 2015 his duties were extended to oversee the creation of trauma centers at all MidMichigan Medical Centers including Alpena which is now a State of Michigan designated level 3 trauma center. At that time he was also tasked with creating a virtual care network for MidMichigan.

Wednesday

In this author presentation, Natalie Ruth Joynton will discuss the major themes of her new memoir, “Welcome to Replica Dodge.” A brief reading and Q & A session will also be included. With strong ties to Alpena, the author looks forward to reconnecting with the community in this ALL presentation.
