A parade was held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday for the residents of Turning Brook assisted living center in Alpena. The parade featured fire trucks, Ramblin’ Rods car club members in their classic cars, and members of the community in decorated cars wishing residents well from their vehicles. Nearly 100 vehicles participated in the parade.

Residents were lined up on the sidewalks to view the parade. All visitors were asked to stay in their vehicles due to COVID-19 protocols and visitor restrictions.

“It was a super sweet time and overwhelming for the residents,” said Turning Brook Life Enrichment Coordinator Julie Stricker, who added they are “so thankful for the support of the community.”

Stricker provided these photos. For more photos, and to see these in color, visit www.thealpenanews.com.
