Their service is well known for its ability to seamlessly aggregate products and customer segments into one platform, with detailed packing lists, route planning, and more, catered specifically to local food and farm businesses.
"TLD's network of local food businesses and marketing expertise is more valuable than ever," said Tricia Phelps, CEO of TLD. "Consumers are better understanding the value of local food, and TLD is a resource that they depend on to help them find it."
All of TLD's partners are eligible for a 15% discount with LFM on the initial set-up costs and fees, and TLD is offering technical services to get these platforms off the ground quickly. Several partnered farmers markets and food hubs throughout the state have kicked off sales for the first time this week using this platform.
For the Sara Hardy Farmers Market in Traverse City, over $16,000 in online orders were placed during their first three days in operation. Taste the Local Difference is eager to extend their services to many other local food businesses throughout the state. The staff at TLD offers technical and marketing support for their partners as they get started and with contracts on an ongoing basis as well.
