Mike and Kathy Shiemke’s home on State Avenue in Alpena is decorated with pink lights to honor health care workers as they continue to help people daily during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kathy Shiemke said she decorates the house inside and out for every season and holiday, keeping the lights up all year long to spread cheer throughout the neighborhood and for passing cars and pedestrians to enjoy.
