During the January meeting of the Thunder Bay River Center Board, the new graphical case study and revised brochure copies were distributed to board members.

Members were asked to review the material and give feedback prior to the next meeting. These materials and the draft “elevator speech” will be part of the training session prior to launching the capital campaign.

TBRC’s bylaws state that the board shall be composed of no less than seven nor more than 11 members. There are four openings available to meet the complement. A criteria-based document for new board members will be used to fill existing positions.

Since this was the annual meeting of the board, election of officers occurred. Judy Kalmanek was elected chair, Michelle Sobek vice chair, Meag Schwartz secretary and Bill Haase treasurer.

The next meeting of Thunder Bay River Center Board will be at 4 p.m. on Monday in City Hall. Meetings are open to the public.
