Artist Noel Skiba is pictured at right with Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan Executive Director Chris Witulski laying out her solo exhibit. Skiba’s “Eclectic Retrospective” opens Saturday, featuring more than 100 colorful paintings on display at the museum.

“This collection has been created from around the world and transported over thousands of miles, from over 45 years of work,” Skiba said.

The show will feature current and award-winning works, as well as works from four generations in Skiba’s family. It will also include her Art Prize Mural “Connections,” with more than 35 canvases making up the 26-foot mural at Besser Museum.

On Saturday, Skiba will lead an art experience class from 1 to 3 p.m. for $75 per student. A $10 discount will be given for each student who donates a pot of soup or fresh homemade bread for the Soups On! Opening Exhibit Reception from 4 to 6 p.m. This free reception will feature a variety of homemade soups, breads, cheeses, crackers and fruit, open to the public.

Also pictured standing to the side is Museum General Manager Matt Klimczak.
