Free purple coneflowers will be available between 4 and 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Rain Garden at Water Tower Park on Ninth Avenue in Alpena. The Rain Garden has become overgrown with so many pretty purple coneflowers and some plants need to go. The plants are large and healthy. The public is asked to help by picking some up on Tuesday.
