Rev up your engines this weekend for the Thunder Bay Car Show

Above is one of Leo Koseba’s three 1970 Cudas that he has restored over the years. The avid collector owns Alpena Trim and has been in business for 31 years. He plans to show all three classic Cudas (Plymouth Barracudas) this weekend.

Classic cars will be roaring through town this weekend for the Thunder Bay Car Show, hosted by Ramblin’ Rods Car Club.

Tonight is the Ripley Big Boy Cruise Night, starting at 4 p.m.

On Saturday, registration for the car show starts at 8 a.m. Meet at Starlite Beach Pavilion to register your vehicle. There is no charge. Online registration includes a goodie bag.

At 9 a.m., the car show will be open to the public for viewing. This is a community event sponsored by Eagle Supply Company and Top O’ Michigan Insurance. There is no charge for participants or spectators.

A cruise from Starlite to downtown Alpena begins at 5 p.m. Join your fellow car owners and travel down State Avenue from Starlite Beach to downtown Alpena.

Car owners are welcome to attend the Summer Concerts in the Park at 6 p.m. at the Bayview Park Bandshell.

Then at dusk is a Family Drive-In Movie at Mich-e-kewis Park. Located on the lawn in front of Performance Locker at Mich-e-kewis Park, bring your family to enjoy an old fashioned drive-in experience, complete with popcorn and refreshments.

On Sunday at 8 a.m. is Breakfast at the Beach. A pancake breakfast and a send off ceremony are open to participants and spectators.
