Two gardens are being featured in July by Alpena Garden Club in the “You’ve Been Bloomed” program, which recognizes outstanding gardens around town. Pictured above is a corner garden at 505 1st Ave., and below is MediLodge’s garden at 301 Long Rapids Road.

“The Alpena Garden Club is again honoring gardens that fit our mission of making our community beautiful,” a press release from the club stated, adding a message to the property owners of the gardens which have been selected. “Your garden has been nominated by friends, a relative or one of our members to be honored by us placing a sign in your yard for one month. … This is recognizing a non-garden club member who has a beautiful flower garden around our town.”
