Thunder Bay Amateur Radio Club youth event Saturday at fairgrounds

Thunder Bay Amateur Radio Club will set up an Amateur Radio Station at the Alpena County Fairgrounds from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, where young people can experience the thrill of talking to others participating in this event all over the country and world.

This event is sponsored by the American Radio Relay League. It is designed to give on-the-air experience to young people and hopefully foster interest in getting their own license. The event also allows older hams to share their station and love for Amateur Radio with children.
